Charleston County Public Library
- All current CSU students, regardless of where they live, may apply for a free CCPL card by showing their University ID card and proof of permanent home address
- CSU faculty and staff must live in Charleston County to apply for a free CCPL card, or they may purchase a Non-Resident Card for an annual fee of $40
- The Otranto Branch of the CCPL is less than 2 miles from the CSU campus, located on Otranto Road

Berkeley County Libraries
- Anyone may purchase a Non-Resident Card for an annual fee of $30
- Active college students can get a card with CSU ID

Dorchester County Libraries
- Will issue free library cards only to people living in those counties
- Anyone may purchase a Non-Resident Card for an annual fee of $35

Area Colleges and Universities
- Current CSU students, faculty, and staff may visit The Citadel, College of Charleston, Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC), and Trident Technical College to use library resources or check out materials as part of PASCAL, the Partnership Among South Carolina Academic Libraries
- Books from any library in PASCAL may be requested for delivery to the CSU Library

Borrowing from Other Libraries
- Search the Worldcat global catalog to find resources not available from CSU or PASCAL
- Materials from other libraries can be requested through Interlibrary Loan
